With the advent of direct bonding technology, various accessories can be directly bonded to the tooth surface, lingual fixed appliance also emerged at the same time. The lingual clasp can be made of metal, ceramic or clear plastic. In clinical application, braces or buckles should be bonded on the labial and buccal sides of the front and back teeth in the levelling, closing the extraction space between the teeth and fine adjustment stages. If necessary, braces and buccal sides should also be bonded in the posterior teeth area and fragments of arch wires should be placed to assist lingual orthodontics.
